Therefore, to maintain its profit margins, production costs should have been pressed too. One way to overcome this problem is by reducing wastes (muda) and making continuous improvements (kaizen). Hence, the author has developed a web application that accommodates the reporting of wastes and kaizen opportunities. The phenomenon regarding waste and kaizen opportunity could be recorded for further resolution. During the reporting process, several tags will be given to a report, so that report can be grouped easily based on its topics. Then those reports will be delivered to the relevant parties to be resolved. From the perspective of the party that resolves reports, those parties could customize kinds of report that they receive based on those tags that they subscribed to, like on social media. The task management feature also ensures those reports that have been taken, could not be taken again. So, there are no redundant works. There is also a kanban board to help those parties to manage those reports they have taken. Lastly, to raise the urgency of participation in this system through web application among workers, a gamification scheme has been added to incentivized those participating parties. The web application is also connected to a WLAN, so the web application could be accessed easily. text |
