Every year there is a high increase in the number of motorcycle vehicles compared to other types of motor vehicles. This was also accompanied by an increase in the number of traffic violations and accidents. This accident caused many deaths. One of the causes of death is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) where 71.2% of patients at Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung are caused by not using helmets when riding motorcycles. Helmet size is one of the biggest causes for motorcyclists to be reluctant to use motorcycles while driving. Helmet size in Indonesia is regulated in SNI 1811-2007-Amd1-2010. This study aims to evaluate and provide proposals on the design of helmet products in Indonesia with an anthropometry approach. This study was conducted by measuring the size of the head covering the dimensions of length, width, and circumference of the head. This measurement was conducted on 145 respondents with an age range above 18 years of Sundanese or Javanese. Measurements are performed using spreading calipers and fabric meters. This measurement is done by 4 trained gauges. The collected data will be statistically tested first. Then it will be compared with helmet size data on SNI 1811-2007-Amd1-2010 The result of this study was found a significant difference between the data of Sundanese and Javanese male respondents on the size of the head circumference, head length and CIx (head shape index) with helmet size data SNI 1811-2007-Amd1-2010. And there was a significant difference in female respondents with Sundanese and Javanese language for head length, head width and CIx with helmet size data SNI 1811-2008-Amd1-2010. This study produced two types of proposed helmet sizes in Indonesia, namely for men and women. text
