Summary:<b></i>Abstract :</b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The role of human resource in construction companies is very important. Therefore company\'s human resource strategy will bring the important role to success and existence of the company. The other important characteristic of contractor and consultant companies are unpredictable number and volume of project. The strategy that can handle the important role of human resource and the unpredictable number and volume of project is outsourcing. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">The main problem faced by contractor and consultant companies to applying outsourcing in their companies is to choose the effective pattern of outsourcing that can be suitable to the companies\' characteristic. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">To cope with the problem, an analysis of outsourcing\'s pattern of contractor and consultant companies were conducted. The purpose of research is to identify the shapes of outsourcing\'s pattern, identify the output of applied pattern, and finding the effective outsourcing\'s pattern. The research was performed in two steps survey, using questionnaire and interview. <br /> <p align=\"justify\">From the result of this research, it can be concluded that trend of outsourcing\'s pattern of contractors in Jakarta is more towad quantity, whereas consultants is leaning toward quality aspect.
