Summary:PT Maju Bersama has implemented Operational Excellence program since 2007 to improve company performance especially in the Manufacturing Division. However, currently with a very tight market competition situation, because the total production capacity of all building materials service providers has greatly exceeded market demand, this requires a strong increase in Operational Excellence. Without any improvement, the existing Operational Excellence will be like a general program with regular results on company performance. In addition, based on the study, companies can increase the probability of success with the new challenges of the technology situation in Digital Transformation if they use proven methodologies to define and achieve Operational Excellence. On the other hand, without having a strong Operational Excellence baseline, it is impossible to make good changes in the digital transformation journey. This research will focus on the company’s current Operational Excellence implementation gaps and how can they be improved, especially in the Manufacturing Division area. Qualitative research method is used since it will be more suitable and efficient for extracting and gathering reliable information, insights and opinions from selected competent people during interviews because research like this has not been done in the company for a long time. After gathering key quotes from the interviews result that was explained in the mind mapping, Author can arrange some major findings which taken from dominant factors and emerging constructs to be analyzed using this primary data and secondary data to get the root causes of the problems. Based on this research, some main root causes are about Key Performance Indicator and Continuous Improvement, Capability building, Focus & Work Execution Mindset, and technical operation issues.
