With MR system, user could scan the cards so that 3D models, audio descriptions, and real voices of historical figures could appear in-game. The game is quite successful that new series of the game was released, such as LCG STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, & Mathematics) on 2019 and 25 Prohets and Apostle on 2020.However, the two new series does not use the MR system. The decision was made by the designer because he feltthat the users had no interest in the MR systemdesign. It is unfortunate considering the reason it was added was to improve the UX by making the game more exciting.The goal of this research is to understand the UX that the users of LCG perceivedin order to create recommendations that could improve the UX of a MR system design. Theresearch usesa mix of qualitative methods and quantitative method through observations, interviews, and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). A questionnaire could producea more quantified data that could be explained with the qualitative datafrom observations and interviews.The research finds that a use of new technology like MR system increases the novelty value of LCG. However, that is not enough to increase the attractiveness and the whole UX of the game.
