Description
Summary:Today's society often follows the culture or rules that have been in effect from the time of their ancestors. There are certain cultural determinations or rules, one of which is based on the object of the sky. The people of Cireundeu Village, located at Leuwigajah Urban Village, South Cimahi Sub-district, Indonesia have used the Saka Sunda Calendar in determining the day of the day, namely the Satu Sura Traditional Ceremony, which is based on the Sun but has a different calculation from the Gregorian Calendar. The determination of the time to cultivate the people of Cireundeu Village also follows the weather in Indonesia which is also related to the activity of celestial bodies, especially the Sun. From these aspects, the author studies more about the division of the Sundanese calendar and the relationship between weather changes and the activity of celestial bodies. The method used was conducting interviews with the community, community relations officials, and traditional leaders or elders in Cireundeu Village and literature studies. From this research, the results show that the people follow the Saka Sunda calendar to determine the Satu Sura and have rules in farming based on the weather in Indonesia.
