Therefore, a solution is needed to solve the waste problem, namely through processing or remediation. Fitoremediation is one of the easy and inexpensive waste treatment solutions to do. The hyacinth plant will accumulate chromium in wastewater into its plant cells. Therefore, the monitoring of hyacinth plants resulting from fitoremediation into products should take into account the presence of chromium metals. One solution to lower the metal content of chromium in hyacinth is through anaerobic digestion. This research aims to determine the influence of anaerobic digestion on chromium content of hyacinth resulting from waste fitoremediation containing chromium. The anaerobic process of hyacinth digestion is carried out for 33 days in the biodigester, with two variations in composition namely 100% hyacinth (EG) and hyacinth (EG) 80% + cow dung (KS) 20%. The observed parameters are environmental temperature and biodigester, pH, and substrate conditions. Chromium content in water hyacinth on average is 21.28 mg / L. After going through anaerobic digestion, chromium content decreases in variations in biodigester composition EG 100% and biodigester EG 80%+KS 20%, namely 8.28 mg/L and 7.68 mg/L. Water hyacinth also has biomass that has the potential to produce biogas with biogas production results in biodigester variations of EG 100% and EG 80%+KS 20% respectively 235.5 cm3 and 423.9 cm3. Bioslurry (BS) produced from anaerobic digestion is then created germination media with the addition of vermiculite (V) as a variation. Planting media variations are BS 100%, BS 75%+V 25%, and BS 50%+V 50%. The observed parameters are porosity, water holding capacity, wettablity, and seed germination power. Bioslurry of biodigester with EG variation of 100% and EG 80% + 20% has porosity close to soil porosity (50%), which is 42.74% and 46.15% respectively. Both types of bioslurry can also germination of kenikir (Cosmos) and morning glory flowers (Ipomea obscura) with an additional power of 33.33% for each type of bioslurry. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that water hyacinth results of waste phytomediation containing chromium has the potential to be used as biogas through anaerobic digestion, and bioslurry from anaerobic digestion has the potential to be used as a germination media. text |
