Summary: | This study aims to determine the rainfall that causes flash floods in Ciwidey sub-district May 3, 2017, and also determine the effect of infiltration and base flow parameters on the peak discharge of the flash flood. However in previous studies, rainfall be estimated only by effective rain, so that the results are are not accurate.
Based on this point, a hydrological simulation scenario is carried out using the Gridded Surface Subsurface Hydrologic Analysis (GSSHA) model, while the scenarios used are 1) Scenario sensitivity of infiltration and baseflow parameters to rainfall causes flash flood or refferd to as scenario A which aims to find the rainfall value that causes flash flood, 2) Scenario sensitivity of infiltration and baseflow parameters to peak discharge of flash flood or reffered to as scenario B which aims to see the effects of infiltration and baseflow parameters on the peak discharge of the flash flood.
The results of this study indicate that the resulting rainfall value will be overestimated if infiltration is involved, then it will be underestimated if infiltration and baseflow are not involved. In addition, this study also shows that the peak discharge is underistimated when infiltration is involved but the baseflow is not involved, then it will be overestimated if the infiltration and baseflow are not involved.
