The quality of products and services depends on the capability of human resources. <br /> <p align="justify"> <br /> PCMM (People Capability Maturity Model) provides a Framework consists of five level to increase the capability of human resources in an organization by improving the human resource management practices. <br /> <p align="justify"> <br /> Divusi Informatika wants and needs to implement the PCMM in order to improve the quality of human resources. The first step of it is designing `performance management' in Divusi Informatika. Performance management is a part of the second level of PCMM. In this thesis, the design focuses in `performance appraisal'. <br /> <p align="justify"> <br /> The existence of peformance appraisal system has led to the achievement of several targets in the second level of PCMM. The first improvement is documented targets and performance of employees, and the second one is continuous discussion of employees' performance between manager or supervisor and employees. The discussion is important in identifying improvement actions for human resources in the organisation, which is Divusi Informatika in this case, and it is also important to recognize better performers who will obtain a reward from the manager. <br /> <br /> text
