Meanwhile, most of human’s activities are performed by hand. Prosthetic hand can be a solution for user with hand amputation. The latest research from Biomechanics Research Team ITB has successfully made sixbar linkage bionic hand which can already perform seven grasp patterns and develop tactile sensor on the bionic hand’s fingers. Therefore, this research is intended to manufacture a sixbar linkage bionic hand with tactile sensor which can be installed and be tested to transradial amputee. The research begins with the quest of transradial amputee as the subject of this research. After that, measurement of the amputee’s hand and data collection of the bionic hand preferences by questionnaire are done. Based on the data collected, Design Requirements and Objectives are made. After that, evaluation on the previous prototype is done to optimize the bionic hand’s mechanical and electrical system on the new bionic hand and also applying control system based on the tactile sensor’s feedback which placed on the fingertips. Manufacture of the socket is done as the connector of the amputee’s arm and the bionic hand. The bionic hand is equipped with dry electrode surface electromyography (sEMG) sensor which is placed on the amputee’s arm to record actuation signal from the arm’s muscle. Qualitatively, the bionic hand manages to be used and tested to the transradial amputee. Also, the bionic hand can perform its function to grasp various things with seven grasp patterns. text
