Description
Summary:Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) is a geothermal energy utilization system that utilizes heat transfer that is flowed from shallow ground to be used as water heating and air conditioning. This system is very popular in the world such as America, Europe and the Asian region because it is an environmentally friendly alternative. The prospect of developing the GSHP system in Indonesia is still very rare, one of the reasons is the lack of research data on geological information regarding the temperature gradient that is in the location of residential areas or new development areas. The location of this research is in the Indramayu district, which is estimated to have a temperature gradient ranging from 4,55 oC/100 m. The GSHP system utilizes the heat below the surface based on the gradient temperature. The vertical closed loop method was chosen because it can be used in a relatively small area by using the refrigerant fluid R-134. This study is aimed at a building with an area of 45 m2 and a wall height of 3 m. This GSHP system requires a heat pump power of 6,06 kW with an efficiency of 3.36%.
