Description
Summary:Electrical energy is an important requirement in human life and its demand continues to increase, hence the need for efficiency of electrical energy to reduce the rate of demand. The consumption of electrical energy in Indonesia, which is a tropical country, is widely used for air conditioning. The need for efficient use of electrical energy for air conditioning or so-called AC (air conditioning). This research aims at how to control the air conditioner to reduce electrical power consumption and maintain thermal comfort by using the Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) where PMV is an index that shows the thermal comfort of the room. The study of the room's thermal character parameters was carried out using an automatic data retrieval and control system using the internet of things (IoT). The control system is done using the Node-red user interface and can control and continue to optimize the control automatically. The amount of AC energy in the control in thermal comfort is 30% to 60% more efficient than the amount of AC energy consumption without control. This system is also able to exercise control based on saving the amount of energy desired.
