One of them is the tensegrity structure system. Generally, this system is used as sculpture, but on the other hand this system has several advantages than other structural systems. Therefore, this phenomenon needs to be addressed and raised for developing a reliable tensegrity structure system in the future construction. Over the last few decades, this system has been extensively researched through the architectural discipline, but the development of polyester membrane materials as a substitute for steel slings is relatively new and this research has not been done much. That phenomenon will be developed in this research through mockup and computational study methods. The research design is divided into four parts, namely (1) a model study with several fabric experiments, (2) a simulation study using a computational method, (3) a conceptual connection model, and (4) a building method structures. The aim of this research is to reveal that polyester membrane material can replace the role of steel slings and its application for geodesic domes. The finding of this study are (1) membranes can replace the role of steel slings in tensegrity structure, (2) based on the two geodesic dome frequencies analyzed, the dome with frequency 1 is the most optimal and efficient for construction in the field, while the dome with frequency 2 is the strongest in terms of rigidity, (3) There are three proposed connection concepts with various advantages and disadvantages, (4) describes the building method with a series of building stages text
