Aseptic carton is a packaging for beverage products that is currently available. In Indonesia, there is a waste reduction target as outlined in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 97 of 2017 concerning National Policies and Strategies for the Management of Household Waste and Waste Similar to Household Waste. Idealab.id as a start-up that is engaged in developing innovative products will design craft-fashion products like watch case materials from aseptic carton packaging waste. However, aseptic carton packaging waste has never been recycled into material for watch case, so this study aims to determine the quality parameters for the watch case material using aseptic carton waste. In designing watch case materials, aseptic carton packaging will be formed into particle board. In forming a particle board, the Taguchi method is used to determine the level combination between the factors used in the experiment. The factors used were adhesive content, pressing time, pressing temperature, and stirring time. Then the characteristic of particle board is tested based on SNI 03-2105-2006. The signal to noise ratio value is used in determining the optimum level combination that provides the best characteristics for particle board. The results of this research obtained quality parameters for the watch case material, density about 0.722 gram/cm3 with the optimum level combination for particle board is 30% adhesive content, 12 minutes pressing time, 120°C pressing temperature, and 3 minutes stirring time. text
