| Summary: | Earthquake is one of the most frequently happened natural disaster in Indonesia. Multiple domestic
and international agencies have recorded historical data about earthquake. However, gathering data
from multiple different sources is a difficult task due to differences between data sources. The
difference varies between its format, structure, syntax, and other things depends on the needs of
each agency.
A system capable of solving problems in gathering and integrating earthquake data in Indonesia
has been developed. Data sources are selected from websites from domestic and international
agencies, such as BMKG, BNPB, USGS, NOAA. ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) is implemented
to handle the differences between data sources. Entity Resolution is implemented to detect the
existence of two or more data from the same earthquake. System also capable of getting new data
from each data sources.
This research results in a system capable of integrating earthquake data from multiple different
sources. System generates and stores data in database filled with data of earthquake instances and
damage from multiple sources. System also produces a list of pairs of data referencing to the same
earthquake. To show the integrated a, a web portal is made to show data, send queries, and show
duplicate data from the same earthquake. |
