ANALYSIS OF MAXIMUM RAINFALL AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR RUN OFF DISCHARGE ON PT BIB MINING SYSTEM ANGSANA SUB-DISTRICT, TANAH BUMBU REGENCY, SOUTH KALIMANTAN

Dewatering system was created as an effort to address water problems in the mining area. However, failures in the construction of dewatering system often occur, causing flooding and harming to local residents. Such as the flood that occurred in Angsana District, which was strongly suspected comes...

INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/53938 Dewatering system was created as an effort to address water problems in the mining area. However, failures in the construction of dewatering system often occur, causing flooding and harming to local residents. Such as the flood that occurred in Angsana District, which was strongly suspected comes from the overflow water sippy system. Therefore, this research was made, as an evaluation material for the existing dewatering system. In evaluating the condition of the existing dewatering system, the maximum debit that may occur in the area is required. To get the debit, PMP calculation is done using the Hershfield method, then processing the simulation with Hec-HMS. The rational method is also used to determine the precipitation value of each return period in the area. The results of this study indicate that when compared to the runoff from the maximum rainfall that can occur at 307.2 mm / day, the existing dimensions of the settling pond cannot accommodate it. However, this dewatering system can still accommodate the incoming runoff with a 4-year return period rainfall at 77,02 mm / day. text
