Generally in almost every countries, especially in Indonesia, have unemployed problem. Unemployed problem, usually related with job opportunities. To anticipate high labor growth, the government has to increase the ecenomic growth to incerasing job opportunities. By logic thingking, to solve the unemployed problem is increasing economic growth, where most peoples prefer to become an employees rather than to create the jobs. How about if a lot of people prefer to create the job as entrepreneur? <br />
One of the solution to overcome unemployed problem is to increase small industries centre. Small industries centre and rural activities has absorbed 85% of Indonesian labors, and 65 % of the labor absorbed by small business that lives at cluster (Bulger .et.al,2001). Trade and Industry Department has defined cluster as small industry centre. <br />
In small industries centre, the fact in field, knowing 2 group of entrepreneur. There are founder and non founder entrepreneur. To grow small industries centre, of course have to increase founder and non founder entrepreneur growth.</p> <br />
This research is focused to find out empirically of common pattern of founder and non founder entrepreneur business stages, the different stages among them and also different on comodities. The comodities was selected are steel and rubber , knit and ceramics comodities at Bandung city. <br />
Data used is founder and non founder entrepreneur life story. Data processed by time order matrics and meta time order matrics to compare between samples. <br />
Commonly, business stages pattern indentified as follow, (1) Pre Start Up stage, when the entrepreneur motivied to became entrepreneur, they identified business opportunities then doing early preparation, (2) start up stage, the entrepreneur dicided to start to produce and market the product, (3) early growth stage, early growth by indicated increasing of sale, (4) later growth stage, being manager, further grow indicated by further developing business as business legalized, market development, and being as manager, (5) later growth stage, indirect control, the company has adopt production sistem and have professional team, then the entrepreneur manage company by totally indirect control.</p> <br />
Indentified in this research, the different business stages between founder founder first mastery technical aspects, the non founder, part of them first mastery on marketing aspects. On development stage, on founder era has limited competitor, therefore at early growth stage can dominate the market. In other side, because of at non founder era, the communication system has been developed better and also have support from government, non founder more easier to develop market as in later growth stage, being manager and this condotion causes the non founder enterpreneur has acces to further stages as later growth stages indirect control. <br />
Different business stages among comodities, caused by different characteristic of comodities and the entrepreneur. Business stages of comodities as part of a lot of products proved more better as steel and rubber comodities which as part of large otomotive equipment spectrum and stationary tools. The big manufacture have benefit by subcontracted sparepart made on big scales to small industries, simplicity the jobs stages, cheaper cost due to done by small industries which have the special machine and skill and simple cheap financial structure. The big company have only responsible to support small industries on technology to developed good quality product.</p> Due to have support on technology from parent big company and countinous big market, then the small industries can develop production system and overall company systems. If look out on Staley and Morse Theory (1965), steel and rubber comodities which doing separable manufactur process, at United Stated prooved that small industries most succses and can develop as become big company. <br />
At the same comodities, founded that not all have the same business stage. Higher business stage can be happen to entrepreneur have characteristic openmind , willing to work hard to communicate with out side, as legalized the business, proactive to attend the seminar facilitated by government on development comunication between big company and small industries to get relationship between them on business, training to increase technology and develop trust from government and big company to produce high quality product. <br />
