Bojong Salawe estuary in Kabupaten of Ciamis of West Java is mouth of three river ( S.Cijulang, Cijalu, and Cialit) emptying into Parigi bay, Indonesian Ocean, where exploited as path of sea transport of fishing boat traffic. The estuary in year 2004 experiencing of sedimentation in the form of sand bar with the tongue formation (spit) as long ± 1.9 km closing estuary mouth so that instruct the river stream turn to left (north wards) have erosion and eliminated infrastructure around it (recreation farm.<p align="justify"> <br />

fisherman shelter and fish drier place) and menace the fish sale place (TPI Minapari). and also the existing estuary condition have made difficult access the traffic of fishing boat fisherman. Others, at external meandering side of Cijulang rivers where contact with the Airfield Nusawiru located in estuary upstream, happened the bank erosion of effect by river stream.<p align="justify"> <br />

Local government ( Kab.Ciamis) have built the revetmen consisted of cylinder heap formation concrete filled by the concrete siklop to protect the TPI from erosion, and also open the new estuary mouth with wide + 30 metre with cutting part of sand bar in side south trap the existing estuary (+ 1,9 km), while to anticipate the bank erosion in meandering of S.Cijulang, committee of Nusawiru have done the bank strength ( revetmen) by dump stones.<p align="justify"> <br />

The dredging of Sand bar to open the estuary mouth is failing, because estuary mouth during less than 24 clock re-closed by sand from sea. At stones of foot protector of revetmen to protecting TPI from erosion scatter the effect of wave blow, while revetmen of bank Nusawiru still enough stabilize. <br />
Result of study (empiric) that Bojong Salawe estuary are inclusive of estuary with predominated by the wave type with the sediment transportation direction (littoral sand drift) to left ( from south to north) as much is 99.600 m3 / year.<p align="justify"> <br />

The wave analysis result ( hindcasting) from effective fetch and wind condition data of 4 year ( 2001-2004), got that mean wave high, Ho= 1,60 m: wave period, T = 10,1 second. extreme wave high 100th, Ho= 4.51 in and through wave transformation analysis ( with Refdif software) plan wave extreme around coast of Bojong Salawe estuary. H 100years is 1.69 meters. <br />
Result from study solution to anticipate sedimentation in Bojong Salawe estuary is require to remove the existing estuary mouth by cutting sand bar and provided with 2 (two) Jetty structure. Which there are 3 (three) of resolving alternative consisted of : <br />
. Alternative I" : The estuary mout location precise in front of Cijulang river mouth <br />
. Alternative 2"d : The estuary mouth location at sand bar in side south (+ 1,9 km) from location the estuary mouth existing; and <br />
• Alternative 3`d : The estury mouth location is equal to alternative 2"d. but in Cijulang river meandering done short cutting as long + 720 meters. <br />
From resolving alternatives study get that the cheapest (economic) is Alternative 1". but having biggest usefulness is Alternative 3rd (for nusawiru farm stability) |
