The Jatinangor Higher Education Area (KPT) is an area of 4 large universities (UNPAD, ITB, IKOPIN, IPDN) where the PT implements the policy. As an area whose economy is supported by the activities of the academic community, a drastic decline in demand is felt by business actors, especially MSMEs. This study aims to examine the sustainability factors of MSMEs in Jatinangor and their adaptation patterns during the COVID-19 pandemic in the period March-December 2020 with the POP DOC Loop Framework. The research method used is a qualitative case study. This research sample was selected by purposive sampling in 4 villages (Hegarmanah, Cikeruh, Sayang, and Cibeusi) with the criteria that MSMEs are still opening a business and have a permanent trading place, a maximum distance of 2 KM to the south and the MSME sector which is most likely to be affected by the policy effect. SFH. Based on the results of observations, interview questionnaires to 38 MSMEs and in-depth interviews with 3 village officials and 1 figure jatinangor UMKM community, it was found that sustainable UMKM factors were, 1) business profile (majority of businesses over 5 years, owned and self / family startup) (2) HR (Risk avoider, micro entrepreneur, spirituality about fortune 3) finance (own capital, debt below 3 million and / or almost paid off and 4) Business adaptation (operational time, product innovation / variation, health protocols, and employee adjustments) As for the adaptation pattern of MSMEs when viewed from the POP-DOC Loop framework, it is found that there is a 3 mobius loop pattern. The first loop from March to mid-April 2020 shows that MSMEs are mediocre in facing pandemic policies. The second Mobius loop from late April to June 2020 shows a careful decision and is temporarily closed, while the third Mobius loop from July to November 2020 shows MSMEs decide to open a business by implementing various adjustment steps. text
