An alternative way that has been used to reduce electricity consumption for room cooling is to use the passive cooling method. One of the techniques in the passive cooling method is the water roof technique. The water roof technique uses a water pool on the roof to withstand heat from solar radiation. This study aims to study the effect of the application of the water roof technique on air conditioning. The study of the application of room air conditioning with water roof techniques was carried out using a transient CFD simulation method in Bandung City which was adjusted to research that has been conducted abroad. The building dimensions for CFD simulation modeling are the same as the research conducted by Pearlmutter [4]. The simulation result data is taken over an hour, with the assumption that heat only comes from solar radiation, and the walls are considered adiabatic. The results when using the water roof technique, the room temperature decreased by 2.9 in January 2021 and 3.69? for a one-year average with a standard deviation of 0.52. This temperature drop is due to heat entering the room, which is partially absorbed by the water on the roof. It can be concluded that the use of water roof techniques in the city of Bandung has the potential to save electricity in the room temperature cooling sector. text
