<b>ABSTRACT:</b><br> <br /> PROTECTION OF OEBA KUPANG NTT <br /> BEACH AS A TOURISM AREA <br /> <br /> By: <br /> Dominggus Dama <br /> NIM 95003229 <br /> <br /> Departemen Of Civil Engineering Bandung Institute Of Technology <br /> <br /> The factor of Oeba Kupang beach damage is erosion that raised by wave, which rammed into mainland/Oeba Kupang beach, its dominant from North with occurrence percentage is 44,98% of total occurrence wave. Beach erosion defined as its decrease of beach line from its early position. The erosion occurs if littoral sediment transportation occurs as long as beach so that caused sediment moved from one place to another place. Littoral sediment transportation occurs if wave direction formed a normal hear angle of beach line.</p> <br /> <br /> In Oeba Kupang beach, occurs the littoral sediment transportation as big as 13.128,15 m3 per year so that caused the Oeba beach line decrease which this during as tourism and residential areas. The littoral sediment transport directions that occur are from East to West. For the present, conducted erosion solution in the form of sea masonry wall develop and Krib on some beach section. The Krib developed in section beach that constitute a residential area. While the sea masonry wall developed in Tanjung Ketapang Beach that constitutes a tourism area. West of Tanjung Pura which constitute a market and Pasir Panjang as a tourism development area. Nevertheless, in another section of the beach that has not protection the erosion is still occur.</p> <br /> <br /> The solution system, with layer conditions that adequate of solid is revetment installing. Cause from the fish auction place area stick out to the sea like groin construction, which caused of sediment zone in East section accur, where the ground is solid, so that the solution with revetment. The others result is the scraping zone in West section occur, where coped with groin. <br />
