Summary:Motorbikes are one of the most popular transportation in Indonesia. This is because motorbikes are easy to use vehicles. However, that also reduces the security of motorbikes when compared to other vehicles. To answer this problem, there are several existing solutions. One of them is using a motorbike lock that is mounted on the wheel, but this is considered quite inconvenient for the user because the user must always install and remove the motorbike lock. This is the reason why many people are reluctant to use it, on the other hand there have also been many videos about how to break into locks on motorbikes that have spread on the internet. From the background of this problem, this study aims to create a motorbike security system that is difficult to break into to prevent loss of motorbikes while parked. The main focus of this research is automatic motorbikes because automatic motorbikes dominate the market in Indonesia by 86.7% in 2019. From a variety solution, a solution was chosen, namely a motorcycle security system that prevents losing the motorbike by controlling the flow of electricity to the ignition coil (Immobilizer System). Then a concept was chosen, namely a password-based motorcycle immobilizer that was accessed via a smarphone. In this book, specifically will discuss the design and implementation of hardware parts which include power systems and protection systems. The power system in this security system is a system that regulates the input power of the battery according to the rating of the components used. This power system uses the LM2596 to adjust the input power from the battery to match the component rating used for the motorcycle security system. For the protection system, this hardware uses a fuse to protect a whole system from damage due to improper power ratings. Other topics in this article include electrical design which also covers PCBs and cables, as well as the use of casing for effective mounting and extra protection.
