Summary: | Bandung is a metropolitan city with an image as a tourist city which has the nickname “Paris Van Java”. Bandung has various tourism potentials suh as historical buildings, culture, local food, etc. To develop this tourism potential, it is necessary to support the exixtence of adequate accommodation for both domestic and foreign tourists. One form of accommodation is hotels. Therefore, Serena Arc Hotel will be built in the Pasir Kaliki, Bandung. The design process begins with understanding architectural design. Then, the architectural design is interpreted into each design sector, namely structure, geotechnical, water resources, transportation, and construction engineering and management in order to determine the planning scope of each these sector.
In this Final Report, the focus is on aspects of the water resources sector at Serena Arc Hotel which is located on Pasir Kaliki Street No. 185-189, Bandung. Based on the flood history, Pasir Kaliki is one of the areas that has experienced flooding. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a flood peil to anticipate the potential flooding. In addition, it is also necessary to plan a rainwater drainage system to againt potential flooding in Serena Arc Hotel. Since the building is a hotel with residents, it is necessary to plan a clean water supply system to fullfil the needs of hotel residents.
To be able to do the scope of water resources sector, it is necessary to carry out a hydrological analysis of the watershed. In planning the flood peil, it is necessary to
check the capacity of the river in the watershed whether it has sufficient capacity to accommodate the flood discharge that can occur in a certain return period or not. In planning the flood peil it is also necessary to pay attention to the history of floods around the project site.
Rainwater drainage system planning includes planning for drainage in the roof, drainage in the yard, and draige in the basement. The drainage system design begins with making a drainage layout system by taking into architectural and structural aspects. Then, the run-off discharge is calculated using the rational method. Then, design the dimensions of the drainage channels and other drainage system components that can accommodate the run-off.
In planning the clean water supply system, it is necessary to estimate the need for clean water for the hotel. Then, the fulfillment of clean water is based on the utilization of rainwater and the supply of PDAM. Utilization of rainwater based on catchment area on the roof and in the yard. Rainwater in the catchment area will be stored in a rainwater tank to be used as a clean water supply. In planning the clean water supply system, using a system with an upper water tank, so it is necessary to plan a Ground Water Tank (GWT) and Roof Water Tank (RWT) as well as the design of a clean water supply pump.
Dewatering analysis is carried out so that when excavating the soil for basement and the substructure is not disturbed by standing water caused by groundwater. Dewatering analysisi includes planning the dewatering wells with pipes and pumping to dispose of groundwater which will then be fed into the recharge well. In addition, it is also necessary to plan the location of the observation wells to observe the ground water level so that it is accordance with the plan. |
