Description
Summary:Flood has become the most common natural phenomenon that occurred in all regions, including Bandung City. Several failures on flood mitigation efforts especially in the urban area where physical development is primarily emphasized have encouraged a paradigm shift that combines the various measures and community participation. Nature-based Solutions concept is an umbrella term of nature-based actions that encouraged individual involvement to overcome social challenges such as floods. This concept can be household-scale stormwater management to reduce the flood risk in its source. In developing this alternative concept, social dimension understanding is required to ensure success and determine effective strategies. Therefore, this research aims to understand the public behavior by understanding their attitude, intentions, as well as motivation that reflects from their disaster risk perception, public acceptance to the existing programs, and public's willingness to pay to the household-scale Nature-based Solutions programs that have offered. Out of 151 primary data derived from the online questionnaire are analyzed using statistic descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and logistic regression analysis methods. This research shows that the public tends to behave protectively by implementing household-scale Nature-based Solutions programs.
