Current pedestrian facilities in Indonesia are largely neglected. The Taman Sari area is an area that has been affected by the development of the city. This area grows organically with a complex road network, making it difficult to assess walkability by surveying only the origin of the destination. Therefore, the Urban Network Analysis (UNA) is used. The UNA tool allows designers, planners, and transportation experts to measure accessibility and predict the flow of non-motorized movements in cities based on the individual trip resolution of existing networks. The study conducted was a design study with the aim of providing a pedestrian path design proposal based on the UNA results with a walkable approach. The UNA results are five network centrality measures, namely reachness, gravity index, betweness, straightness, and closeness. The results of the analysis are in the form of potentials and problems that will be solved in the design. This study with UNA is aligned with walkability criteria and aspects of urban design elements, because the results indicators from the UNA cannot stand alone to interpret the results of the analysis. The simulation was carried out in the Taman Sari area with a radius of 700 meters from three main facility points, namely ITB, Ciwalk, and Balubur with a UNA study area of 503.92 hectares. The results of the study show that UNA is considered quite effective in assessing the quality of a walkability for urban villages that grow organically. The result of the UNA analysis when juxtaposed with urban design elements is that the Reachness index affects land use elements and building mass intensity. The straightness index affects pedestrian circulation and the Closseness index marker affects the building mass intensity, pedestrian circulation, and open space. Gravity index affects vehicle circulation and parking. text |

Cities in Indonesia are experiencing growth and expansion without a city plan, so
is the city of Bandung. The less rapid adjustment of plans compared to urban
developments creates various problems, one of which is the increasing number of
vehicles and shifting positions of pedestrians. Current pedestrian facilities in
Indonesia are largely neglected. The Taman Sari area is an area that has been
affected by the development of the city. This area grows organically with a
complex road network, making it difficult to assess walkability by surveying only
the origin of the destination. Therefore, the Urban Network Analysis (UNA) is
used. The UNA tool allows designers, planners, and transportation experts to
measure accessibility and predict the flow of non-motorized movements in cities
based on the individual trip resolution of existing networks.
The study conducted was a design study with the aim of providing a pedestrian
path design proposal based on the UNA results with a walkable approach. The
UNA results are five network centrality measures, namely reachness, gravity
index, betweness, straightness, and closeness. The results of the analysis are in
the form of potentials and problems that will be solved in the design. This study
with UNA is aligned with walkability criteria and aspects of urban design
elements, because the results indicators from the UNA cannot stand alone to
interpret the results of the analysis. The simulation was carried out in the Taman
Sari area with a radius of 700 meters from three main facility points, namely ITB,
Ciwalk, and Balubur with a UNA study area of 503.92 hectares. The results of the
study show that UNA is considered quite effective in assessing the quality of a
walkability for urban villages that grow organically. The result of the UNA
analysis when juxtaposed with urban design elements is that the Reachness index
affects land use elements and building mass intensity. The straightness index
affects pedestrian circulation and the Closseness index marker affects the building
mass intensity, pedestrian circulation, and open space. Gravity index affects
vehicle circulation and parking.
