Summary:<b>Absrtract:<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The purpose of this study is to investigate how big influence among institute, fanner participation, and irrigation network performance towards increasing of paddy and palawija production, and also to increasing of farmer's income. Beside of that, this study also head for investigation about irrigation network benefit or it's contribution to the Economic Growth of Agricultural Sector in Magelang Regency at the year 2004.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Independent variables toward Increasing of Paddy and Palawija Production (Y1) which become the basic calculation to economic growth of agricultural sector in this research consist of Institute and Farmer Participation (X1), and Irrigation Network Performance (X2).<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Besides of that, it is also checked the influence among Institute and Farmer Participation (X1), Irrigation Network Performance (X2), and Increasing of Paddy and Palawija Production (Y1) toward Increasing of Farmer's Income (Y2).<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This research was done by field study to describe the field condition relate to such research variables through direct interview to farmers in Technical Irrigation Area, Semi Technical Irrigation Area, and Simple Irrigation Area by using assist appliance Questioner.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> As for research study location was done in 3 districts, that is District of Mertoyudan as sample for Technical Irrigation Area, District of Muntilan for Semi Technical Irrigation Area, and District of Dukun for Simple Irrigation Area, which to every district was taken by a number of 5 villages and for each village was counted 6 peoples as research random sample, so that as a whole was taken 90 respondent at 15 villages for this research.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Processing Questioner result using Path Analysis which continued by Correlation and Regression Statistical Analysis to know the level of independent variables' influence to dependent variables. Previously, Ordinal Data which is got from the Questioner result using Likert Scale is transformed into Interval Data using Method of Successive Interval.Hereinafter, it is simulated calculation of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Economic Growth of Agricultural Sector based on productions data of paddy and palawija from the Questioner result. Calculation of GRDP and Economic Growth use the production approach method which is ordinary used by Central Board of Statistics (BPS).<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> According to the calculation result, it is obtained that Irrigation Network Performance is more dominant to Increasing of Paddy and Palawija Production. This is mean irrigation network (building and channel) with good condition where the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) also walk better so that can guarantee the water availability in agriculture farm, representing the dominant support factor to Increasing of Paddy and Palawija Production.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> While Institute and Farmer Participation have stronger influence to Increasing of Farmer's Income. It is mean that farmer group organization (P3A) with active respond in farmer aspiration so that can push the participation of its members to increase their income, representing the strong impeller factor to product increasing effort that expected it will impact to Increasing of Farmer's Income.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> It was also obtained that Increasing of Paddy and Palawija Production do not always have a strong effect to Increasing of Farmer's Income, where for example it caused by the production medium price like insecticide and fertilizer above to the government specified price, while on the other side the selling price of agricultural product especially paddy is still below than the rule price which have been specified by the government.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From the GRDP calculation, it was obtained that the GRDP of Agricultural Sector in 2004 equal to Rp 345.916.371.793, 04 with the economic growth is 1.57 %. As for each contribution to GRDP and the economic growth is Technical Irrigation Area equal to 16.45 %, Semi Technical Irrigation Area equal to 5.60 % and Simple Irrigation Area equal to 12.79 %.<p align="justify"> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Still big enough contribution of Simple Irrigation Area to GRDP and Economic Growth of Agricultural Sector indicate that to Simple Irrigation Area becoming research object location (District of Dukun) where the water availabilities are too much enough, at this moment is not needed yet to be improved become Semi Technical or Technical Irrigation Area.
