Summary:Port of Makassar is a commercial port managed by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero), located in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. As the gateway to the Eastern Indonesia Region, Makassar City has a large population, high population growth rate, and a fairly high and competitive economic rate, resulting in an increasing need for loading and unloading of sea transportation goods such as cargo or containers. Therefore, Port of Makassar must have a development plan to address these needs. In this final project, the design of operation pattern for Makassar New Port Container Terminal be carried out for the short term (2018-2022), medium term (2018-2027) and long term (2018-2037). The design of operation pattern is carried out based on the terminal area plan that has been planned by the government or the involved companies. The discussion in this final project covers the design of operation pattern at the wharf, the design of operation pattern in the container yard and the calculation of the expenditure and income at the container terminal. The design of the operation pattern at the wharf includes: wharf profiles, a maximum combination of container ship mooring, loading and unloading equipment and the loading and unloading capacity of the wharf at the container terminal. The design of the operation pattern in the container yard includes: the container yard profile, the loading and unloading capacity of the container yard, the container stacking equipment and horizontal transportation equipment at the container terminal. The calculation of expenditure and income includes: calculation parameters of expenditure and income, equipment data, expenditure calculation scenarios, expenditure and income based on real procurement, determination of net cash flow per year and determination of payback period at the container terminal.
