The main purpose of this study is to assess and evaluate the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in large qualified contractor companies and to determine the application level of the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Indonesian contruction companies. Apart from that, it is also to find out the obstacles in implementing CSR in Indonesia and how to solve these problems. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is one of the obligations that must be carried out by every company in accordance with “ Undang-Undang No 40 tahun 2007 Perseroan Terbatas”. Corporate Social Responsibility is the company's commitment to participate in economic development. The implementation of CSR also provides benefits for good environmental management, partnerships between companies and communities, environmental sustainability and social investment. In this study, we will examine the principles application of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in large qualification BUMN and BUMS contracting companies in Indonesia. The reference standard for implementing CSR is ISO 26000 which is used internationally as the basis for implementing CSR within the scope of the organization. The research was conducted with qualitative data analysis with a Likert point 1 to 5 scale approach based on data obtained through a questionnaire conducted on 8 large contractors in Indonesia consisting of 4 state-owned companies and 4 private-owned companies. Then the data obtained is analyzed using the Average Index formula. The results of processing and analysis show that each contractor has different levels of CSR implementation where most of the practices of implementing CSR principles in the company have been implemented. Lack of statutory regulations related to CSR is the obstacle that most hinders the implementation of CSR in consruction companies. This study provides a big picture of the application of the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to large qualification construction companies in Indonesia. The results of this study can be used as a reference in the application of the principles of corporate social responsibility in contracting companies in Indonesia to increase the Benefit of CSR.
