This distance learning system makes it difficult for practical learning because the absence of face-to-face session. Extended reality technology that allows the real-world simulations being done in virtual environment has the opportunity to help distance learning problems and to prepare students for industry 4.0 and society 5.0. The research approach is carried out by conducting literature studies, data triangulation (interviews with students and lecturers concerning courses with hands on method) and analyzing data in order to obtain product requirements. The final design decision was in the form of a scanning rig product which use would be accompanied by the use of a structured light 3D scanner to scan real objects into 3D models, furthermore continued with the use of VR software "Gravity Sketch" for design review process. text
