| Summary: | Mountain hiking is a recreational and sport activity that is needful for everyone, in particular those
who lives in urban areas. Mount Gede Pangrango is one out of many favored mountains to hike, and
constituted part of national park with high biodiversity rate in Indonesia. There are more than 1000
flora and fauna that is housing this national park, and also many district depends on its natural
resources. However, hiker’s lack of awearness about the essence of hiking could potentially causing
harm to the surrounding environtment and some other factors in this mountain. Cibodas Hiking Base
Camp was designed to deliver the essence of mountain hiking and to support hiking programs which
could set and conserve this national park without ending public hiking activity. The design concept
applied to the interior in this facilty is. The concept is branched into room organization, shape, colour,
material, furniture, lighting, air circulation, ambience, and safety that could impact hikers to
understand and practice a sustainable mountain hiking activity. |
