This character is very visible from Cirebon leather puppet tradition which is very unfortunate at this time is experiencing a setback due to the dissolution of the process of inheritance and the destruction of various artifacts that age. Revitalization is considered an action that needs to be done so that this tradition can still be passed on to the next generation. Understanding the world of Cirebon wayang kulit will not be separated from Panakawan Sembilan figure which is considered as the initial door to enter the repertoire of local wisdom in puppet Cirebon because these figures serve as a medium that communicates wisdom in a simple language and easy to understand the wider community. Flexible character allows for the development of more freely follow the development of the current era. This qualitative study dissects the extrinsic and intrinsic elements of the Panembawan Sembilan Cirebon wayang kulit puppet artefact. The extrinsic element is performed by visual element surgery using art criticism, while the intrinsic element is done by reviewing the story, history and philosophy embodied in the characters. Hermeneutic theory is used as a tool to redefine the wisdom that uses the past to present language. The results of the data exposure became the initial reference for creating a new version of Panembawan Sembilan Cirebon that uses superflat styles and technical work making that utilizes current technology. This revitalization is a first step to comprehend the Cirebon wayang kulit arts as a whole with the present point of view to be able to be understood by the present generation and can be passed on to the next generation without having to reduce the meaning of the noble in it. text |
