Summary: | Energy demand has an increasing trend each year. Oil as one of the supplier of energy still become the source of energy people looking for. But, oil is an unrenewable energy that decrease each year as the exploitation occurs yet the exploration is stucked. A low probability for succesfull exploration getting worse by the current oil price which make companies tend to limit their exploration activity. One solution is to maximize the production from existing oil fields. One of the most used technology at this current stage is enhanced oil recovery (EOR) using CO2. This program gets support by the environmental policy that limit the CO2 emission to atmosphere. This situation makes EOR and CCS program as one of the interesting program to be studied for.
This thesis discusses the optimum scenario to do enhanced oil recovery (EOR) using miscible CO2 flooding and carbon capture storage (CCS) on X field. It will discuss some parameters that has effect on both program. At the end of this study there will be a proposed scenario based on technical analysis that will be evaluated by economical study. |
