In achieving the goal we need to ensure that each of the existing road lines is always in it good ability of service. Faced with the current condition of limited maintenace budget, the need of roads management should arranged base on priority scale in accordance with the level of importance for each road line. That way, the available fund allocation could reach an optimum use. <br /> With the research objects of 17 city road lines in Sukabumi city, this research has an objective to determine routine and periodic maintenance priority for city roads in Sukabumi city in 2005, prediction of routine and periodic maintenance in 2006, 2007, and 2008 using data of 2004 and plan priority of 2005 and the AHP. In the condition of limited fund resource, the need for road line management could not be comprehensively funded, hence they need to make priority scale. The model of fund allocation to each road line developed in this research uses AHP approach using the following criteria : (1) surface flatness (2) traffic volume (3) road structure and (4) maintenance cost. <br /> Criteria quality assesment is performed based on \'self perception\' resulting in criteria value of surface flatness : 0.301, traffic volume criteria : 0.123, road structure criteria : 0.192 and maintenance cost criteria : 0.384. Handling priority of road maintenance is conducted by comparing the total value of performance on each line as a multiplication result of criteria value and the scoring result. <br /> Based on the fund allocation provided in 2005, the road maintenance implemented covers 10 road lines in accordance with the priority result consisting of periodic maintenance of 4 road lines and routine maintenance of 6 road lines. For the year 2006 with the prediction on the fund provided, the applicable roads maintenance covers 5 road lines consisting of periodic maintenance of 2 road lines and routine maintenance of 3 road lines. In 2007 with the prediction on the fund provided, the applicable roads maintenance covers 2 roads lines consisting of 1 road lines carried out periodically and 1 road lines carried out routinely. While for the year 2008, the applicable road maintenance covers 14 road lines consisting of 4 lines conducted by periodic maintenance and 10 lines conducted by routine maintenance. <br /> By the methods of routine and periodic maintenance handling, hence in 2008 the condition of surface unevenness (IRI) could be estimated tobe better in comparison with the condition of average routine maintenace handling in all road lines per year. There are 5 road lines with the same IRI value between the method presently adopted and the research method, and the other 12 road lines in accordance with the result of research method is better in comparison with the method condition so far adopted. <p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> text
