MATHEMATICAL MODELLING FOR COVID-19 DISEASE WITH AGE STRUCTURE BY

Pandemic COVID-19 is a phenomenon that happened in 2020. COVID-19 was first identified in Wuhan City at the end of 2019. Since then, the disease has spread to various places and countries. On March 11, 2020, WHO (World Health Organization) officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. It...

COVID-19 was first identified in Wuhan City at the end of 2019. Since then, the disease has spread to various places and countries. On March 11, 2020, WHO (World Health Organization) officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. It means that COVID-19 has spread throughout the world, including Indonesia. In this final project, we discuss about the mathematical model of COVID-19 with age structure. The model, which is used in this project, is SPIR compartmental model with age structure. In this model, population will be divided into several age classes. We will study about the effect of contacts of each age classes on the spread of COVID-19 disease. The discussion about this model covers the explanation of its system of differential equations, the method and the results of parameters estimation, the results of simulation, and the analysis of simulation results. text
