Description
Summary:Reservoir heterogeneity is a factor that would affect enhanced oil revovery operation such as sufractant flooding. Surface active agent (surfactant) is an injected component which lower oil/water IFT and, ultimately, residual oil saturation. IFT won’t be get any lower if the surfactant concentration is beyond Critical Micelle Concentration (CMC). Effect of decreasing IFT is observed in this study, especially on the hetereogenous reservoir model that being used in this study. This study using three models, homogen model, heterogenous laminated model, and heterogenous layered model. At first, the optimum level of IFT (concentration) is observed in the sensitity study in each model. The optimum level IFT will be used in the next step which is sensitivity of permeability contrast on the two heterogenous reservoir model. This study will determine the permeability contrast which surfactant flooding still considered as a succsessful operation based on the increase of recovery factor of the operation.
