BPS SKYRMIONS AND BLACKHOLES IN HIGHER DIMENSIONAL GENERALIZED EINSTEIN-SKYRME MODEL

The Skyrme model was originally a model used to describe the strong interactions in four dimensional space-time, but it has been found that skyrmionic phenomena can be found in other systems in various dimensions of space-time. In this study, the Skyrme model and its BPS submodels in a higher dim...

In this study, the Skyrme model and its BPS submodels in a higher dimensional flat space-time is studied. The study is carried out in general on any higher dimensions with spherical symmetry, and specifically for the five dimensions both with and without spherical symmetry with the same approximation. There are two types of Skyrmion BPS solutions with spherical symmetry for arbitrary dimensions. These two BPS solutions are also found in special five dimensional cases with the more general ansatz for B 1. Furthermore, we also examine the influence of gravitational interactions in the Einstein-Skyrme model, and obtain a number of conditions for a static blackhole numerically. It is also shown that the perturbative time-dependent stability in the Einstein-Skyrme model can be reduced into the problem of the Sturm-Liouville eigenvalues. text
