PTDI is one of the state-owned enterprises engaged in the design, development and manufacture of aircraft. Until now it has produced various types of civilian aircraft to military aircraft. PTDI employees are mostly dependent on the company’s monthly salary to meet their daily needs, this condition can be a potential problem if the company fails to pay monthly salary due to unexpected conditions. There is a hidden problem with PTDI employees who are too dependent on salary from the company. The first problem is lack of awareness to prepare for a better life in the future, this symptom is very obvious in employees who are approaching retirement age, and that employee has no other income apart from the salary from the company. Another problem is the lack of employee’s entrepreneurships spirit. Only a small proportion of employees who have other businesses can provide alternative income. Employees from the baby boomer generation, most of them don’t have alternative jobs or businesses after they are retired. The background of this research discusses the plan to create an internal market community at PTDI to enhance employee entrepreneurship development. With the Covid-19 pandemic still ongoing, this can be one of the main factors that can change our habits, and can be a momentum to spark the entrepreneurial spirit of employees as well as a moment to test our business strategy. With the existence of the internal market community where employees can provide each other with the products and services that employees need, in the end PTDI employees do not rely solely on external markets for the fulfillment of goods and services. This can increase employee’s independence and can be an alternative income in addition to the company’s basic salary. With the internal market community, employees can achieve balanced life; can be a sustainable business alternative and financial stability while still working and when entering retirement age. text |
