Summary: | Livestock is an activity that contains risks, one of the risks in the livestock
sector is mortality in livestock. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the risk
of mortality of dairy cattles that can have a potential loss for farmers. There
are two models used to model mortality of dairy cattle. Two of them are the
exponential mortality and common fatal shock (CFS) models. Exponential
mortality model examines mortality based on the remaining life span of dairy
cattles. Common Fatal Shock (CFS) mortality model is discussed regarding the
mortality of dairy cattle because of fatal shock. The fatal shock in this thesis
is a goat. The risk prediction used in this thesis is to predict the maximum
remaining life span in dairy cows. Predicting the maximum remaining life span
of dairy cattles using risk measures Mortality-at-Risk (MaR) and Conditional
Mortality-at-Risk (CMaR). |
