On the other hand, cases of dengue fever are still quite high for several regions in Indonesia, especially in West Java Province. Based on this fact, it is worried that there will be cases of coinfection between COVID-19 and dengue. In this Thesis, a mathematical model is constructed that can represent the dynamics of cases of COVID-19, dengue fever, and also coinfection of COVID-19 and dengue in several districts and cities in West Java Province, namely cities in the Greater Bandung (Bandung Raya), Bodebek (the part of Jabodetabek), and West Java Province overall. The model was developed by combining the SIS model with the Host-Vector model for coinfection of COVID-19 and dengue phenomenon. The existing model will be used to approach the data, so that the basic reproduction number for COVID-19 and dengue is obtained. This will be used to determine the level of transmission of both disease. Furthermore, the basic reproduction number of the two diseases was observed to determine whether it is possible to coinfection of COVID-19 and dengue in several areas in West Java Province in 2020. text |
