This project begins with a discussion of the condition of students' mathematical abilities in Indonesia. The current sitution shows of the declining math abilities of Indonesian students and a large of students who have difficulty during the transition from arithmetic to algebra. This encourages the need for basic number theory teaching materials to be given to improve students' mathematical abilities and to help students learn other mathematical materials.
In the learning design, the basic number theory material is provided with the discovery learning method. In addition to the learning center for students, this learning method emphasizes students seeking their own knowledge so that the knowledge gained is more meaningful. |
