Summary: | Various methods of well stimulation have been developed not only to improve the productivity of formation damage due to both drilling and production activities but also to increase the productivity of their very small original permeability formations. The very small original permeability formations results in turbulent flow friction that increases the skin factor of turbulence in the hole. The resulted skin adds pressure loss. As the result, the Productivity Index of formations becomes very small. In order for increasing the very low permeability of formation, stimulation is usually best performed by acid cracking.
This study is about the acid fracturing process to perceive the increment of original formation productivity by increasing the value of Dimensionless PI itself. The cracking is applied by comparing injection of noncompositional anorganic acid (HCl) only, noncompositional organic acid (HCOOH) only, and both compositional organic-anorganic acid (HCOOH-HCl) only. Sensitivity appraisal is applied for each acid fracturing output parameter that is resulted. The reservoir data used as a model for simulation is taken from the database of the simulator. The simulation is done by using FracCADE. The expected final is the performance of the fracture resulted and the dimensionless PI that implying the potencial of reservoir productivity index itself. |
