Diabetes complication include heart attack, blindness, chronic kidney disease, and others which made diabetes one of the disease with the highest mortality rate in the world. Insulin is a hormone produced by pancreas which controlled the glucose level in the bloodstream. There is two type of diabetes, type 1 diabetes is a chronic condition which pancreas only produce little or no insulin, type 1 usually caused by genetics. While type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition which the body build a resistance to insulin, and usually caused by lifestyle or genetics. Unhealthy lifestyle such as smoking habit and lack of physical activity might increase the risk of getting diabetes. Someone’s lifestyle could be affected by the lifestyle of the people around them. For example, someone with a healthy lifestyle could have an unhealthy lifestyle because of constant interaction with people with unhealthy lifestyles, which increase the risk of getting diabetes. The use of insulin injection is expected to decrease the population of diabetes with complication, but due to high prices and also limited supplies it is need to be determined the right proportion on using it. In this final project, a mathematical model is built to determine the right proportion of interaction restriction and insulin allocation. text |
