<b></i>Abstract : </b><i><p align=\"justify\"> <br /> <br /> Various analytical techniques have been developed for the calculation of power system economic dispatched to allocate system load on each operating in power station a system to meet system load . A recent proposed approach to solve the problem, which has bus incremental costs as the key variables, offers a possibility to get an insight into the economic dispatch mechanism. <br /> <br /> This paper attempts to derive a concept showing how bus incremental costs can be viewed as a potential analog in a dispatch of the power system, such that basic electrical network solution techniques can be readily applied to solve the economic dispatch problem. The existing approaches, relying on coordination or on optimal load flow, have some difficulties to expose the detailed mechanism of economic dispatching. <br /> <br /> The present coordination approach has difficulty in detail transmission loading determination, hence the precise transmission loss evaluation. For the optimum load flow, the effects of system parameter variations on economic operation may be obscured by the complexity of modeling or the complexity of solution techniques.
