The purpose of the research is to find out the characteristics and the operational cost of a taxi company , and also to find out the effect of the age of vehicles on the company operational cost. The research was done on four taxi companies taking 100 samples of drivers from each company. <br /> <br /> The results of the survey show that the income per kilometer (Rp/km) for PT Sri Medali Taxi company is Rp. 270.95, for PT Citra Transport Rp. 75.55, for PT Radio Taxi Rp. 378.96, and for PT Royal City Rp. 268.44. <br /> <br /> Of the total cost spent by a company, the biggest proportion is for fixed cost, where in the break-down the percentage of the vehide depreciation is the biggest of the total fixed cost in each company. At PT. Sri Medali the vehicle depredation comes to 77.5%, PT Citra Transport 70.59%, PT Radio Taxi 49.64% and PT Royal City 70.8% of the total operational cost per year. <br /> <br /> Regarding the age of the vehicles, the significant cost difference lies in the cost for fuel (with the average increase of 7%) and that for lubricants. <br /> <br /> The model of the company operational cost in each company is as follows <br /> - PT Royal City : C -132.57K+153.49H+7 Inn 371 V+n 001-13 <br /> - PT Sri Medali : C 148.69K+246.88H+6.366,384.75V+0.00366R <br /> - PT Radio Taxi : C = 144.65K+367H+1,596,373V+0.00023R <br /> Where : <br /> C : the annual cost of the operational system <br /> K : vehicle service (km/yr) <br /> H : vehicle service (hr/yr) <br /> R : income of system (Rp/yr) <br /> V : peak vehicle needs. text
