Summary: | In early 2020, the whole world was shocked by the emergence of a new type of virus, namely the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the disease called coronavirus dease 2019 (COVID-19). This virus came from Wuhan, Tiongkok which was first discovered in December 2019. According to WHO data in March 2020, it is confirmed that there are 65 countries that have been infected by the coronavirus. COVID-19 has a major impact on all sectors in Indonesia, Social activities are temporarily suspended, the weakening of the community economy such as shopping centers is limited so that there are fewer visitors, reduced public transportation services and very tightly regulated, the tourism sector is completely closed, and the informal sector is restricted such as Ojek Online, UMKM, trade centers, such as malls, traditional markets which are currently closed temporarily. Even work and study is from home.
This research design is descriptive research. The research method used is a survey method with a quantitative approach and interviews with qualitative approach as mix method. The conceptual framework conduct the research methodology through observation, literature research, internal analysis and external analysis.
Teras Java Dimsum have many issue or problems since pandemic COVID-19 last year, big issue in Teras Java Dimsum is in number of sales (customers) and revenue that haven’t increasing last year. Total transactions before and during pandemic COVID-19 have decreased up to 35%. To fix the issue, Teras Java Dimsum should breakdown the Business Model Canvas with the right method. Evaluating and innovation the business model canvas becomes the part of survive in this pandemic COVID-19 by through the customer’s needs and make decisions to enter the new target market. After analyzing the data findings, there are three blocks that can improve, evaluate and innovate which has a major impact on increasing sales during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely customer segments, value proposition and revenue streams.
