<b>Abstract :</b><p align="justify">This thesis is to analyze the problem of nesting rectangular orders on rectangular sheet metal of raw material, where the total order area is larger than raw material area. The purpose of solving this problem is to maximize the efficiency of using the raw material . <br /> <p align="justify"> <br /> The goal of this research is to get one or several nesting algorithms for the raw material. The process is conducted in 4 steps: (1) designing alternative algorithms and it is obtained 16 algorithms, each of wihich differs in position of the order placement on the raw material, order priority and the posibility of changing the order placement on the raw material; (2) verifying the algorithms with 4 sets of hypothetical data; (3) evaluating the effectivity of each algorithm and determining the best one; (4) implementing the best algorithm to actual data . <br /> <p align="justify"> <br /> This research shows that 4 algorithms provide the best solution and that there is corelation between the data pattern and the resulting solution obtained from the 4 algorithms. <br /> <br />
