Description
Summary:Microfluidic is a device that can be used for manipulate fluid on a channel that is sized in micrometer. Microfluidic has been develop significant in recent years in any field of study like chemistry, biology, medicines and physics. The behaviour of fluid in micro scale is different with behaviour of fluid in macro scale, physic’s parameter should be adjusted to describe microfluidics system. Navier-stokes equation have been used to describe fluid flow. One of that fluid system is microfluidic. But to describe this kind of fluid flow, this equation is hard to solve in analytic method. So, in order to solve this problem we need to use computational fluid dynamics to describe the behaviour of the system. Computional method that been used in this research is Generalized Minimum Residual (GMRES). This method is base on the minimum residual for solve the problems. The metodology that we got to use in this Final Project is experement which is preceded by a simulation. The purpose of this method is to reduce the price for experiment with evaluate the simulation. The simulation will be done with Comsol Multiphysics 5.1. Comsol Multiphysics is a software that can do finite element analysis and do the simulation of the physical system. The data that obtained in the simulation with comsol will be processed so we can get the physical parameters that occur in the micofluidic system. The data that taken are iteration of the simulation and concentration of the outlet. The iteration will be used to ensure how long the simulation will be done. While concentration data is the result that will be calculate to obtain the good efficient product of the mixing problem.
