<b>Abstract:<p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Preliminary phytochemical screening and blind screening of aqueous extract of Turbinaria ornata J. Agardh have been studied on Swiss Webster mice. The result showed that the extract contained steroid/triterpenoid and flavonoid and showedentral nervous system stimulation and sympathomimetic effects. Specific test on the central nervous system was done using automatic hole board to test motoric activity and curiousity and showed significant effect at a dose of 450 mg extract/kg body weight, using Chimney tube to test motoric activity showed a significant effect at a dose of 1000 mg extract /kg body weight and endurance test by measuring swimming endurance showed sigificant effect at doses of 200, 450 and 1000 mg extract/kg body weight. Significant sympathomimetic activity was shown at a dose of 450 mg extract/kg body weight of rat by measuring the ability of increasing blood pressure.<p align=\"justify\">
