Which stated that the classical music is not an Indonesian traditional culture. Until present day, the genre has been the basic of musical education and training for the activities, because most of the current common music which was heard in the middle of society are basically the descendant of the western music genre, which become the reason of the number of classical music community in Indonesia. There are at least forty classical music community exists in Bandung, consisted with both professional and regular associations. However, (there have been similar source of difficulties, which is lack of space to practice and lack of access to reach the public face and engage them, which giving an impact for their music performance which have been their identity so far, inflicting a prominent threat for their career continuity. The same difficulties are being faced by independent musicians whom without any community to belong, with even more complex matters. Based on the matters which was stated before, a research has been done to clarify the matters, needs, and any relatable aspects regarding to classical music developments in Indonesia, especially in Bandung. Qualitative and quantitative approach are applied to confirm the observation data, by interviewing and reviewing personal experiences of classical musicians and classical enthusiasts for qualitative data, and spreading questionnaires for non-musical societies and musical practices. Adjusting both observation data and general standards, becoming the whole summary of spatial requirements data. It was then found that social cultural aspect is the greatest resistant for classical music to expand more in Indonesia. There is also financial aspect which narrow down classical musicians’ movements and activities, especially in Bandung, the difficulties are getting even worse by the fact that the city is lack of performance space where any classical musicians can perform in such engaging performances. The research is expected to help solving and anticipating an upcoming matter. There are some other matters which unlikely to be clarified in further discussions, however it is likely to be resolved. text
