Behind the high social and economic dynamics, Jakarta has several water resources management problems, namely floods. Floods have hit Jakarta from the Dutch colonial era to the present. History records that major floods occurred in 1621, 1654, 1873, 1909 , and 1918. Flood control infrastructure such as the West Flood Canal and the East Flood Canal was built in 1918. Statistically every year in Jakarta there are floods, but the biggest floods in the last 20 years and the worst was 2007. Flooding in Jakarta was caused by the inability of the river channel's capacity to accommodate the volume of runoff water, moreover exacerbated by changes in land use. The area around the Manggarai Water Gate is an area that is often hit by floods. Even though there is a Manggarai Water Gate with a capacity of around 507 m3 / s, it still cannot handle flooding on the MT section. Haryono - P.A Manggarai due to unstable river flow caused by sedimentation in the segment. The problem is exacerbated by the pile of garbage that can increase the water level. In this final project, normalization planning and embankment design are carried out to solve the problem of river channel capacity. The method carried out starts with a hydrological analysis to determine the return period flood discharge based on daily rain data. Then a hydraulic analysis is carried out to model the existing sections as well as simulation of embankments and normalization. The output of this final project is a dyke design and normalization with its operation and maintenance. text |
